About The West Rand Wing-Shooters Club

A Club for anyone

The West Rand Wing-Shooters Club aims to develop and promote the sport of shotgun shooting in all its forms, including wing and clay shooting. We want to educate practitioners of the sport and the general public regarding shooting, the safe use of shotguns, ethical standards in the sport and environmental conservation.

We have a few hundred Club members and our aim is to provide the best venues for shoots as possible. We try and minimise the costs involved with the sport by not requiring members to pay for individual shoots but exceptions might occur with weekend excursions that require accommodation and or catering but as a rule we try our best not to increase the already expensive sport by unnecessary day fees.

We supply venues to shoot a wide variety of game birds, mostly during the beginning of the season the majority of shoots will be for pigeon and or doves with some game birds later on if the venues allow for it, Game birds include Guinea Fowl, Franklin, Swainson and Waterfowl.

Our venues are mostly located in the Gauteng region but also extent to the North West and Free State. Hunting permits is required before shooting will be allowed but we do offer these permits for sale during our annual general meeting held in March each year.

We are very excited about the sport and welcome anyone who feels the same to contact and or join The West Rand Wing-Shooters Club
